Skyseeker style pathfinder7/7/2023 ![]() Ranger 1/ Warpriest 4/ Skyseeker: Can take weapon specialization, gets heavy armor early, can self heal a little via fervor. Ranger 1/ Feral hunter 4/ Skyseeker: Permanent animal focus for versatility Ranger 1/ Druid 4/ Skyseeker: Take shaping focus - drawback: wildshape and ancestral weapon don't mix well Right now I'm considering the following options: ![]() If I find a neat way to do this I might play it in an all dwarf giantslayer game. And increasing ranger casting with skyseeker levels seems too weak. I would rather not multiclass but getting the skyseeker's abilities at level 8 is a bit late. With multiclassing Ranger 1/ cleric, druid etc. Is there any other class that can do this without multiclassing? Preferably earlier than the ranger. So the ranger could meet the requirements at level 7 and become Skyseeker at level 8 if his wis is high enough for a 2nd level bonus slot. favoured enemy orc or giant (or goblin bud I'd ignore that) ![]() You want these stats instead (I'm assuming yours were post Racials because otherwise what the fuck): As someone who has made many, many a Stalker, including this thing, which you can poach ideas from (I fucked up when making him though, and didn't realize that Steel Serpent had this amazing boost called Night's Knife, which obsoletes Shattered Mirror unless you want its very potent defensive stances). Is there a class except for ranger who can become Skyseeker without multiclassing? You very obviously don't have Path of War: Expanded, which is something you'll want to read over. At level 1, take Killer's Implements as your Stalker Art. It gives you Weapon Finesse and Deadly Agility for a chosen melee weapon, even if it's normally not finesseable. You have Thrashing Dragon take Swift Claws and spam it. You're taking Minute Hand at level 1, and you're spamming that, too. If your campaign is suitable for the archetype, take Soul Hunter, which will help your early game and make spamming maneuvers much easier to pull off. At level 1, take Killers Implements as your Stalker Art. It's better than the base Stalker by far, unless you're doing certain niche crit builds. It gives you Weapon Finesse and Deadly Agility for a chosen melee weapon, even if its normally not finesseable. At level 1, Two-Weapon Fighting is your feat. Get access to Primal Fury somehow and take Raging Hunter Pounce then Frenzy Strike ASAP. This is when you unlock Raging Hunter Pounce. You're also taking Critical Edge at this level, too. After this, you've basically got everything you need. Your feats after this can kinda just be whatever. I like Hone Weapon and Improved Initiative for more deeps, but it doesn't matter much. At level 5 you're taking Battle Dragon's Stance and Night's Knife. You now have no TWF penalties, Wisdom+1d6 to damage, and when you activate Night's Knife, level to damage. In a full attack, with Time Skitter and Minute Hand, you'll have 2 attacks at your highest BAB, one with your off-hand, and another with your main hand at -2 from Minute Hand. After that, you'll still have Time Skitter, so you can activate Obsidian Razor Style/Night's Knife (they're the same thing) for level to damage on every attack for an entire round. If you crit, that thing is fucking dead.Īnyway. Stalkers do a metric shit ton of damage, Perception and Sense Motive, and that's about it, unless you're a Vigilante.
