To date 4,088,894 people have received their first vaccination with 3,603,429 having a second jab. There are currently 391 people in hospital confirmed to have the virus with 44 being treated in intensive care. Yesterday, there were five new deaths reported while 5,021 people returned positive cases over the last 24-hour period. It is believed that the most recent lifting of restrictions will be the first to be considered for reversal by SNP ministers. Other measures being considered include new rules on social distancing and so-called vaccine certificates.
